Evolution: Part 1
Mr Snail has no need for speed, why is this so?
Because the snail is clever, cunning like a fox.
The snail he hides in the vegetable plot, he munches and crunches all that he sees till no longer is he covered in vegetational delights.
Along comes the gardener swinging his spade and spys the devastation where once their was food.
Anger for his crops leads the gardener to take revenge upon the snail. This is where the snail becomes clever, it evokes the childhood memories of summer time slimey pets trapped in jars. Human empathy kicks in, how could you kill your old friend?
The gardener sees his neighbours dahlias, doing much better than his. He looks at the snail, o yes. With a flick of the wrist the snail is upon it's new hunting ground, it never moved a muscle.
This is why the snail is clever, no need for speed.
